From 2016 to Today
The Beginning
Ahmed El-Sayed, a passionate traveler and Cairo native, heads his first private group to Siwa Oasis. The trip changes everything — he sees the magic that most tourists miss, and decides to dedicate his life to sharing it.
First European Clients
Word spreads to the Netherlands and UK. Desert & Sea officially registers as a travel company, offering fully guided Siwa packages to European travelers with bilingual support.
Mediterranean Expansion
Responding to demand from Egyptian clients, we launch our Mediterranean rental service — starting with exclusive units in Agiba and OM El Rakm, Marsa Matruh.
Resilience
The pandemic halts travel worldwide. We use the time to deepen local partnerships, improve our packages, and build the digital platform that would power our comeback.
Alexandria Added
We expand our Mediterranean chapter to include Alexandria — premium apartments, city tours, beach clubs, and restaurant recommendations across the Pearl of the Mediterranean.
Digital Magazine Launch
We reimagine our offering as a digital travel magazine — two chapters, two worlds. Siwa Oasis for the European market, Mediterranean Coast for the Egyptian market.
